A recent study conducted by PayPal in June, found 45% of US online shoppers had abandoned shopping carts multiple times in just three weeks. The average cost of abandoned goods in those shopping carts was $109 and the top reason why on-line buyers abandon their carts is high shipping costs is  (46% of respondents).

Other reasons for abandonment are comparison shop (37%)  while 27% left to search for a coupon,  23% found the item unavailable at checkout and 22% couldn't find customer support.

Do you have an on-line store? What helpful methods have you found to improve customer experience and increase your sales?
