Myself

"What do you plan on doing with a degree in theatre, Steff? Are you going to be an actress?" In Canada? Not likely.

Graduating from Hamilton's McMaster University in 2001, I put the previous question to myself. I thought my options were limited. I could teach.....I could be a waitress......but I did neither. I found myself fitting very comfortably into the role of customer service and sales specialist.

Upon graduation, I worked for a Small Business in Hamilton. Anyone who has been an integral part of a Small Business knows that you find yourself filling many roles. To narrow it down, I was the Operations Manager/Shipping Co-ordinator/Warehouse Liaison/Tech Support/Sales Rep. It was a difficult venture, but very educational. When the market for our product disintegrated I found myself looking for other opportunities.

Retail found me first. Working my way up through the ranks, I became a Store Manager for a novelty store within 4 months. After three successful years, I again found myself looking to reach greater heights.

I found Grand & Toy. I found Small Business. I found a passion I didn't know existed. Businesses, Small Businesses, run our economy, and I help them.
Like small businesses, I am dynamic, versatile, and ready to take on any challenges thrown my way. I look for areas of improvement and work towards my goals. I represent the businesses I serve with success in mind. Through G&T, I am THE resource tool for Small Businesses who know what success is.

Having recently been transferred from the Hamilton market to Burlington, I find myself faced with a new set of challenges, a new educational experience, a new market of Small Businesses to help. I embrace what is before me and build positive business relationships based on trust and the common desire to see that business succeed.
