Is there any cost to join TeamBiz?
You can join and use all TeamBiz website features for free. You even get
rewarded for your contribution to our community! We only charge for
advertising and for listing under multiple categories in the directory.
For what do I get credits?
We want to recognize active TeamBiz members that bring valuable input to our community, and this is our way to say "Thank you!". Here is what you get credits for:
- writing your member profile: 100 credits
- contributing a non-exclusive article: 1,000 credits
- contributing an exclusive article: 10,000 credits
- contributing to the forum (highest number of validated posts over 3 months)
- first contributor: 1,000 credits
- second contributor: 750 credits
- third contributor: 500 credits
How do I redeem my credits?
You can exchange your credits for great give-aways like gift cards for your business needs, invitations to business events and much more! Currently, we have an on-going program where you can exchange 20,000 credits for a $20 gift certificate for your office supply needs. We will announce new programs in our newsletters, so stay tuned!
How would a TeamBiz profile help me?
A well-written profile will help you create powerful business
connections. People will check it when you post on TeamBiz forum or
publish content in "Tips and Advice". In addition, TeamBiz profiles are
designed to help you in your search engine optimizing efforts.
Here are some tips on how to create a great profile.
Are there any conditions to get the 100 credits for my member profile?
We want to encourage members to know, trust and do business with each other. A good profile will enable that. So we require from you to have at least:
- your complete name (first and last)
- your business name
- your city and province
- your business profile
- your picture
Once your profile has this information, we will reward you 100 credits.
Here are some guidelines to help you transform your profile into a valuable networking tool.
What's with the stars under my picture?
We show everybody that you are an active and knowledgeable member that brings valuable resources to our community. Your stars are directly connected to the number of credits you earn over one year. Members with profiles keep their "Active member" status as long as they are TeamBiz members. The more stars you earn, the more status you get:
Top 5% contributor (min. 20,000 credits)
Top 10% contributor (min. 10,000 credits)
Top 20% contributor (min. 5,000 credits)
Top 50% contributor (min. 1,000 credits)

New member
The star ranking is updated once a day.
What criteria do you use to list member profiles in TeamBiz directory?
You need to have a profile to be listed in the directory. After that, the more credits you earn, the higher your position in the member list. You can earn 100 credits right away just by filling in your profile.
Can I get listed under more than one category?
Yes, you can get listed with the same business under up to 3 categories. First category is free and there is a $15 yearly fee for each additional category. Please contact us to get your profile under additional categories.
What if I have more than one business?
While we encourage
you to market your business, our goal is to create a directory of
business people (not of businesses). If you have more than one
business, decide which one you want to list and then you can mention
the other businesses in your profile. Or, if you have a business
partner, you can just have them join as well, and decide who represents
each business! Bottom line: it's one account per member. If needed, your profile
can get listed under up to two more
categories (see the previous question). Please note that we will have
to remove the additional profiles to avoid confusion and prevent abuse.

I want to contribute an article to "Tips and Advice" section. How do I do that?
We made it simple for you. Log in to your account (if you are already logged in, click on "my account" in the menu at the top). Click on "Contribute an article" in the menu on the right. After you read our editing guidelines carefully, you can just paste your article in the space allowed.
Please note that it is entirely up to the editor to select articles for publication. If accepted, your article may be edited before publishing.
We reward you with 10,000 credits for exclusive articles and 1,000 credits for non-exclusive ones. Here is more information about TeamBiz credits.
How do I get my article approved?
Shortly, here is what we are looking for:
- Tips, how-to's, informative articles (not self-promoting content).
- Articles that are written for the web. This means that your ideas should be short,
specific and structured
using headings and
lists.
- Your article must be your original work and not written by somebody else.
- If you cite somebody else, please credit all sources.
