So very many bloggers that I read daily have in the recent past listed Social Media/SEO tools, that I thought it might help to give up some links to same…sort of some “swiss army knife” tools, eh!

Social media tools come in all sizes and shapes and at various costs and monthly subscription rates, and as a disclaimer, we use only a couple of the URLS here.

Okay, first up is Lee Odden over at TopRank Marketing, and his list is quite a good one – and note that down at the bottom of his post is a section called “Related Posts” that offers up more links to even more tools too! Yes, this is a dated post but it’s so nice to note now that most of these apps are still up and still running and have matured nicely!

I especially like MajesticSEO for my analytic reviews (yes they’re one of our well used apps) and Trackur too, from Andy Beal which monitors various online social medias for our study. SEMRush looked interesting and is on my list of apps to try out…and there’s more here too to add to your own trials. Lee has screen shots, and comments on a lot of the ones he’s listed for our perusal, and as usual over at Top Rank, there’s a community there that offers up further insights and comments on all of their blogs – so do read this one!

Over at Practical ECommerce, a new post by Matt Ferner, just last week added a whole bunch — 22 in fact — new analytics tools for you to look over their performance and depth and add to your own Swiss Army knife of tools too. As they noted, measuring the behaviour of a website visitor can give the owner a true sense of what works – and what doesn’t work – on their websites.  And measuring that behaviour does not have to be expensive nor pages and pages of charts, data and graphs to wade thru each and every reporting period either. Sure Google Analytics is on that list, but I liked Clicky too and will try out their free account this week to test and see what kind of metrics I can measure using their services.  One thing I’ve never done is to measure a client site using a heat map application, and these folks have that covered too and list some candidates if that’s what you think you might like to add to your analytic stable. All in all, a great recap here from this ECommerce site for online merchants!

And finally today, over at Social Media Examiner, Cindy King has a great recent post on the top 22 social media tools for your trial and testing. Rather than being only measurement or analytic tools, these are tools that you actually use to help you get some traction too…and I see right off the bat that there’s some real winners here, eh! DailyBooth to share pix instantly looks good enough to add to my list of trials this week, as does maybe TwentyFeet to do some online rep tracking and then there’s Inside View, that I am to use to find out details for a prospective new client — their SalesForce integration and learn about that firms people, products and org structure – and then integrate all that into my own SalesForce account. That sounds too too cool and just might save me hours…so it’s on my list too!

And there you have it…a list of more’n 50 top quality social media and SEO tools to give a testing and to come up with what works for you!
